Research Interests:

  • Electro-mechanical studies of cell suspensions: determination of electrical properties, elastic constants of the membrane, changes in cell parameters due to toxic substances

  • I-V characteristics of biological membranes: under stress from salts and toxic substances

  • Transport mechanisms across biological membranes: radioisotope tracer technique, membrane diffusion potentials

  • Characterization of synthetic membranes: hydraulic permeability, porosity and pore size, impedance spectroscopy

  • Cell/particle diagnostic and separation tool using electromechanics and microfluidics methods

  • Membranes for nanoparticle separation

  • Conducting Polymer
