This unit involves experimental
studies of natural radionuclides in the environment by using
both gamma ray spectrometry and nuclear track-etch techniques.
Other types of research undertaken are the development of a
Nuclear Reactor Calculations Training System and Nuclear Track
Detectors. In addition, this unit also serves the community as a
consultant on determining low level activities of radioisotope
sources and arranging training courses in the use of basic
nuclear facilities and instrumentation in radiation measurements. |
